Valley Song exists to help people share the good news of Jesus
through music. The hope is that these songs will be sung in
churches, around campfires, in homes, schools and wherever people
gather to worship.
Wherever possible, the original lyrics, lead sheets and other
written resources created for Valley Song will be released under
the
Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International
licence (CC BY-SA 4.0).
This means people are welcome to:
- sing the songs in worship;
- print and share the lyrics;
- create chord sheets or arrangements;
- translate, adapt or build upon the songs;
- record and perform their own versions;
- use them commercially;
provided they credit the original source and release any adaptations
under the same licence.
Every song or resource will clearly state the licence that applies
to it. Some material may use a different licence where it contains
contributions from other writers, incorporates material that cannot
be licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, or where Valley Song does not hold
all of the rights necessary to offer that licence.
Many of the songs on this site have been created with the assistance
of artificial intelligence. AI has been used as a creative tool to
help explore ideas, arrangements, performances and production, but
every song published here is selected, edited and curated by Valley
Song.
Where recordings have been produced using third-party AI music
services, the rights to those recordings may be subject to the terms
of those services. Unless a recording specifically states otherwise,
please assume that the written lyrics and sheet music
are licensed separately from the audio recording.
If you would like to record one of these songs, release a cover,
create a translation or arrange it for your own church or ministry,
Valley Song would genuinely love to hear from you. Valley Song would
be delighted to share your version and, where possible, help you make
it available on streaming services so that more people can enjoy it.
Usage note: Please check the licence shown on each
song or resource before using it.
